One sided entry
12/21/04 at 09:30:20

Our trial balance is out of balance.  By going thru GL-D I found the error.  I now need to post a one sided entry and I know it's done thru UT, but I do not remember how.  All I remember is that once it's done we have to run UT-K-D for that one account.

to post a one sided entry in Classic DBA:

go to UT-A and type program name EDITGL

post your entry

with everyone out of DBA, run program UT-K-D to update Chart of Accounts.

That is correct.  In Evo you need to enter the program name as EDITGL.RUN (need the .RUN extension) and to save time you can limit UT-K-D to just the account you entered the transaction for.

This method will NOT work if the correction is to a prior year and to an income or expense account.  Current year all accounts and all years Balance Sheet accounts it will work.
