Jim,
The DBA Classic code OF PL-A (payroll link) created a .bat file and spawned a command prompt to run cpay32.exe. I suspect that is because there was no good way in TAS5 to do it any other way. In Evo (Tas7) using TAS-G you can edit the menu to call the cpay32.exe directly. When editing the menu (TAS-G) get to the PL-A line and click in the Program Name (should be BKPLA.RUN) click until you get a box at the end of the field that has three dots in it [...] click that button and go find your cpay32.exe (Check Mark payroll) then save and exit. You must exit and restart Evo for these changes to take effect. With this you can have the menu call any windows application you like.. word, excel, autocad whatever you want.....
