Var % calculated field in AR-A Statistics Screen
01/27/05 at 09:35:07

Could someone explain to me what the purpose of the 'Var %' fields are?

To me, They don't mean anything until you reach the end of the year.

Is it just me, or should this Variance % be a calculation that indicates if a customer is ahead ( >100%) or behind (<100%) the previous year average daily sales?

For example,
 (
(This years YTD / Days so far this year) /
     (Last Years Total / 365)
 ) * 100

This would result in a % > 100 if the pace is ahead of last year and a % < 100 if the pace is below last year.

Comments?,  Criticisms?,  'Go away, your bothering us'? ... etc.
