New field on SO Line items?
04/26/05 at 12:38:55

What is the field between UM and Disc? It is unlabeled, and the only character that I have been able to put in is "-", but it doesn't seem to do anything....

Never mind. I figured it out. But you can still negative discounts with the standard field, they are just limited to -9.99%. I was hoping to be able to use the negative discount to double my price for retail. I guess I almost can....

SO-Q-F allows 4 decimal places, but SO-A only allows 2. Anyways, I don't see it being feasible because it still shows the un-"discount"-ed price.

What I'd really like is to be able to change the base price for retail, then we could still give discounts. But I don't suppose that is possible with DBA.

Our base price is our retail price, and then we assign all our wholesalers a price code or discount code that gives a specific discount off of the base price.

Lynn has an add-on that allows you to import price codes from an excel spreadsheet.

There is a field in SO-Q-D and SO-Q-H for Retail Price and the Field exists in the DISCOUNT file as well - we could probably do something with it if you let me know what.

I guess I never realized I could use Price Codes to acheive my goal (even without the Retail Price field). But even with the ability to import price codes it would be a chore. Mostly because you need to remember to add price codes everytime a new item is entered. I just may use it though.
