SM-J-A WO file maintenance
06/21/05 at 13:13:02

Ran this and it cleaned up a bunch of stuff. But it also gave me this message "Trxn dates before WO actual start date (x records). You may need to delete via MDB." for records in WORECV, WODATE, WOMAT and OUTPROC.

What would cause this? And why delete rather than edit?
What does WO actual start date do? Can I safely fudge this by changing a few dates in WORKORD, rather than the hundreds of records in WOMAT? Any place other than WORKORD that would need changing?

You don't HAVE to do anything so long as the transactions really do belong to the work orders in question.  The message in SM-J-A dates from way back when purge work orders didn't delete all the transactions in all the files (bug long since fixed).  If you re-used a work order number that was originally purged using the old version, you could pick up those old transactions when calculating costs in the new work order.
