default folder stored on separate drive
07/01/05 at 07:17:01

We have had our DBA set up to house the dbamfg folder separate from our default company folder.  dbamfg is on our u: drive, and default (our company folder) is on v: drive.

I ran the UT-A and see the ddf files in my company folder on the v: drive.

I believe this split in files is creating a problem in setting up my ODBC connectivity.  Is there a way around this?

Thanks,
Robin

Can't see why. Pervasive uses those DDF files to provide ODBC for things like MS Access which requires they be in the same location as the data.

Our DBA is set up with DBAMFG on drive E:\ with data files on F:\ and ODBC works fine.

This is another problem I finally managed to get straightened out on my own.

My problem (not related to having separate drive locations for the files) was that I was trying to map the ODBC connection to a mapped drive.  As soon as I pointed it direct to the C:\shares\psqldata\default - I was connected.

Hope this helps somebody else.
