a question about 'Units on Hand' field
07/13/05 at 13:51:57

in a report, i have BKIC.PROD.CODE, BKIC.PROD.UOH from BKICMSTR and BKBM.COMPONENT from BKBMMSTR.  the BKIC.PROD.UOH field shows the on hand quantity of BKIC.PROD.CODE.
my question is: how do i put another BKIC.PROD.UOH in to show the on hand quantity of BKBM.COMPONENT? ??? ???

I will assume you are using Crystal Reports.

Here's the trick:

1. Add the BKICMSTR Datafile to your report again.  You will get a message indicating it is already in the report and will be promped to give it an alias name.

2. Name it BKICMSTR2.

3. Clear any automatic links that were created and create a link from BKBM.COMPONENT in the BKBMMSTR file to BKIC.PROD.CODE in the BKICMSTR2 File.

4. Now that the link is created, be sure to select the correct record when you go to place it in your report.
