OK, Here goes with my third request today!!

Since installing the ISTS patches a couple weeks ago, I can't get into the help screens in either Evo or Classic. More accurately, I can get to help, but I can't create a seach database so unless I know exactly where to go in the help document, I could spend days looking for answers!

When it tries to create the index, it tells me "Unable to display the find tab (177)". Any suggestions?

Lynn_Pantic Administrator evolution (n) - gradual change to a different form Posts: 5663	Re: Help Text Missing Reply #1 - 07/21/05 at 14:06:01 Look in DBAMFG for DBAHELP.*, making sure your Explorer is set to show system and hidden files. Keep DBAHELP.HLP and DBAHELP.CNT but delete any others - probably DBAHELP.GID and DBAHELP.FTS (I think). Then open Help again and it should recreate the system files you just deleted and be OK.

Lynn_Pantic Administrator evolution (n) - gradual change to a different form Posts: 5663	Re: Help Text Missing Reply #4 - 08/04/05 at 05:37:41 Double check your Explorer settings to show system and hidden files - it is the DBAHELP.GID and/or DBAHELP.FTS that are messing you up. You need to delete them so the program can make new ones.
