Payroll & W-2s

How does DBA know which account(s) to use on a W-2?

For example:  Bonuses should be included yet Salary Advances shouldn't??  How does DBA know to include or not include??

We do not put salary advances or employee advances through payroll.  In our case, the employee repays the advance.

Anything paid to the employee through payroll is included on teh W-2 as Pay.  Advances should be paid through AP and then repaid as a deduction in payroll.

When you open the "Print W-2" screen, you will see "Edit W-2 Data" at the bottom. You can edit any data that will print on the W-2.
