Phantom Company
11/09/05 at 06:27:54

While creating a new company, someone accessed DBA, and we got corrupted data.  Deleted the company, and again someone accessed DBA.  The actual files are gone, but the company still shows up in "change company" and it shows files in maintain database, although you can't access them since they don't exist.  I have created several ddf files and can't get rid of the company.  Nor can I recreate it as DBA says the company already exists.  How do I get rid of the this phantom company?

Secret button...   Shocked

Go into UT-I, Create/Delete company and press the F3 key and you can delete the reference to a company in the data dictionary.

Only in Classic.

If the secret button is used in Classic, will it have deleted the same references in Evo?

Great, thanks Lynn.  Ran the secret button and then regenerated the DDF files and all references are gone.
