I agree it needs A LOT of work before it can be used.
The serial tracking does not work at all. In fact when we try to use it to track the parts repaired it says that the serial number has been returned to stock when we print the report from SC-D. This is because the program will close out the Service/Repair work order (essentially returning it to stock) but doesnt properly acknowledge that the repaired part is being sent out when it is invoiced.
We are not at all satisfied with the way this works. We had hoped to get the serial tracking up and running but are unable because we would like to be able to utilize the service/repair module and do not want to have to re-write the procedure when it finally does work.
The RMA processing is contained in the SO module. Are you wanting it to be part of the Service/Repair Module instead? To the best of my knowledge the RMA portion works fine for us.

Check out SC-D, there are a number of ways to look up item & serial number information.
I have been in contact with Lynn for months regarding this with unfortunately still no solution. So any ideas you have on improving it should probably be forwarded directly to Lynn since I know she is working on it.
