BKGLX

I am looking at transactions in the BKGLX file that were mistakes made in the future.  I understand it's what is causing the future screens in the Business Status program.  I am wondering what will happen if I just delete these transactions.
A whole set of them are from Posting the year end physical inventory to 12/31/06 instead of 05.  We fixed this by editing the GL transaction date.  Now we have all the transactions in this BKGLX file.  My concern is what will happen in 12/06.  Added bonus of getting rid of them would be getting rid of the screen for 12/06 in the BS.  What is this file and what will happen if I delete these transactions?

No downside, nothing is looking at them other than the Business Status which you would need to fix by deleting the 12/06 record in ISBSF.

Thanks Lynn, I deleted all of the future transactions in the BKGLX file, and deleted the 9/06 and 12/06 record in ISBSF file, and glory be I don't have those pesky screens for September and December!
Just curious though, why would I have all sorts of transactions in this file if it is only used for BS- I mean lots with dates starting in 2002.  Is the Business Status screen using these to calculate balances, and if it is maybe that's why it is so far off.

That file has been accumulating data for anybody who uses the AI-C reports (which nobody much uses as far as I can tell).

So the Business status would not be looking at what is in there except if it is in the date range that it is looking at?

It actually doesn't look at BKGLX at all, but we used program logic that posts to the BKGLX file to also populate a different file that the Business Status uses when it refreshes data.
