Backup program
05/23/06 at 08:22:16

Everything I have read states that Evo-ERP comes with a built-in backup program but I cannot find one.  The help menu shows it is in TAS-L but when I checked there all I found was "Log In Screen"  Anyone have any ideas where to look or if it's even a functioning program?

In the ADMIN login it is TAS-O, but I have not used it.

I don't have a TAS-O.  My menu stops at TAS-N.  What do you use to back up EVO?

Our servers auto backup to tape nightly.

You can add a TAS-O to your menu to run EvoERPbackup.rwn, or you can use TAS-A and enter EvoERPbackup.rwn to run it from there.

I use a nightly tape backup on our servers as well. This program comes in handy (which is more for how I use it) when you need to make a quick backup of a file or some files because you have to go in and make a fix/change, run maintain DB, or something like that.  Making the backup using this program gives you something to recover from if the changes go wrong or don't work as you had anticipated, and you didn't do it in a test company first!  It's also alot faster to do a restore from this than from my tape backup in such instances.

I have been missing out on so much!   TAS-L  (now TAS-O) backup utility is worth the price of admission!
I use to have to wait until everyone was gone for the day but now I can back up in the middle day.
Thanks,
Laura
