Hi all, I'm new to this forum and also to DBA in general. I have just started working with my current company, to update their method of scheduling. They currently use manual scheduling and have grown and the method of manual scheduling is no longer meeting the company’s needs. As I said I have never worked with DBA before and almost no one who is currently working with the company has enough understanding of DBA to help me on this project. So with that my question is how far can you go or how much can you change in DBA, as far as finite scheduling, work centers, routings, and the like goes, before your type of scheduling actually changes methods. For example, can I setup a shop calendar, work center and routings and not effect the current setup of DBA? Basically I don't want to do anything that is going to mess up the current method until the finite scheduling is in place and ready to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated and if anyone needs more info on what I am doing here please just let me know.
