Scrap % Usage in BoM

I am trying to use the SCRAP % in the Bills of Material to increase the order quantity of a raw cable.
However, when I try creating a New Job and Purchase Order for this item, the overall order quantity does not increase to compensate for the given scrap percentage.
Is there something I am not doing correctly, or is this a glitch?
Any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Are you really on EziJobs or did you post this here by accident?

If you are on DBA Classic or EVO:

1. Did you do a rollup after making the change?

2. Are you entering Scrap Percentage as a whole number? (i.e. 5 percent = 5.00 not 0.05)

We allow for normal scrap in the BOM Qty and don't use this field. If we have extraordinary scrap we issue it at the close of the job.

I am currently using DBA Manufacturing Next Generation 2.0.1 Build 126.
To answer your question in the order you asked:
1) I am not sure what I should be 'rolling up'.
Cost or something else?????
2) Yes, I am entering a whole number.

The purpose is to add extra footage to a given order without having to increase the actual BoM footage for an assembly.

dameng Senior Member DBA / EVO Software Consultant Posts: 275 Gender:	Re: Scrap % Usage in BoM Reply #4 - 06/24/06 at 06:53:28 there are lots of glitches. since you are on build 126, they, (DBA Manufacturing) have made numerous changes, and some fixes to the software. this would be one of many that they still have not fixed. the scrap% still doesn't add correctly in build 152. hth, dave
