Refreshing Report Data
10/06/06 at 13:46:49

I am having troubles when refreshing report data for a report I created in Crystal Reports 11. The report works fine at first but when I try to run it again with a different set of dates in the Select Expert or simply hit the refresh button I get the following database connection errors:
Failed to retreive data from the database.
Data Object cannot be opened/accessed.
Database connection error: 'Btrieve[35] directory error'
Details: Cannot open file DEFAULT\BKARHINV.B

HELP, I finally got a report designed and I cant use it!

Thanks! Grin

Anytime my V8.5 does this I close and reopen Crystal. This seem to do the trick on V8.5 anyway...

the btrieve error is just that. it's telling you that it cannot locate the table you are using in your report at the defined location.

By the error message it also appears that you are using a Btrieve data source connection and not an ODBC connection, AND you are pointing to the DDF's that are in the Root directory of your DBAMFG i'm guessing.

in DBA or EVO , go to System Manager, UT-A and run ODBCDDF.RUN

then in your Report, go to the menu SET DATA LOCATION, then create a new btreive connection and this time POINT to DDF's in the Default folder and update your table.

that will fix your problem.
