Very unsecure!

If you open the BKPSUSER file directly with Pervasive (function executor) you can read the user names and passwords in plaintext. That's not really that good of an idea. How about encrypted passwords?

I would love to do that.. then nobody can run DBA Classic and everyone will have to go to Evo.  Makes my life easier.

The TP5WDBA.EXE (and we have no source to that) is what is opening that file and asking for user name and password. If I encrypt the passwords then Classic will not be able to decrypt them and therefor no access.

In Evo I have full access so it may be a thing we offer Evo only customers.
