Beta Programs
02/26/07 at 17:39:58

Now up and running at the EvoERP WIKI site is our first Beta Program
EvoLINKS:

This was written to address the issue with our current Image Links only having 60 chrs path and file names.

At our NH symposium, I was showing the features of the new Evo Notes. One of our users, Mike Habich, suggested that I use this logic of being able to attach notes to anything in the system to Image Links. Well Mike here you go.. This new system allows for just that. You can attach any file to almost anything in the system.. Example: Link an excel spreadsheet of maintenance done to a machine to a Work Center, Or a Word Document from Human resources on Job review to an Employee etc...  It will also convert your existing Image Links to Evo Links if you wish. This new system uses windows compliant path names (256 Chars) and has a lot of room for us to add document types in the future for printing.

The download is a zip file and in the zip is a Readme.txt file to tell you how to install it.

This says it is part of the standard EVO now.  Are the EVOLINKS working in areas other than Items?  Which ones?

You can turn it on in SD-Q.  Once it is on, you can link to anything that uses a Grid lookup.

Okay, I now see the item links.

Am I using the wrong programs for work centers, machines, employees etc?  None of these are the "grid lookups" like items.

Queries - SU-A will show you all the grids that exist.  For now, until they are incorporated into the regular programs as they are converted to T7, you can load any grid at QU-E
