2nd installation of EVO
07/19/07 at 06:58:57

Can I EASILY create a 2nd installation of EVO.  I'd like to get a look at the data collection suite but I'm not able to get everyone off of system.  I need to do that on off-hours.

You could make a copy of DBAMFG on your server.  Use the TAS-O backup utility and backup your entire DBAMFG (it works even if files are open) to a zip file, then unzip to a new folder, let's call it EVOTEST.  Make a copy of your C:\ISTS folder called ISTS1 and then use Notepad to edit the TASPRO7.INI and change the 3 paths from DBAMFG to EVOTEST and make a new icon pointing to "C:\ISTS1\EVOERP.EXE C:\ISTS1".

Thanks Lynn.
I'll try that.
I think the info on data collection suite said this is the first step toward that.  What is planned for the future?

What is included in the 7/14 update is the menu (EVODCMENU.RWN) and a shipping program that allows you to scan items as a box or truck is packed and the Sales order is automatically released.  Future plans include Work Order Issue material & Enter Finished Production and Labor collection; Label printing, PO Receiving and Inventory Cycle Counting/PI.  I am sure there will be other things developed based on specific customer needs that ultimately become part of the package and made available to other users.

Alright, I admit it.  I am being particularly dense on this new update.

Where do I see the EVODCMENU.rwn?  Where is the shipping program?
