Moved to new server problems ver. 2004.1
08/13/07 at 08:00:51

I recently moved DBA 2004.1 to a new server running SBS2003.  Initially, I could get in on the server but received 161 btrieve errors on the workstations.  The server did say my license had expired prior to restoring backup data.  Now, I can not access it even on the server.  It flashes on the screen and dies...no error message or login.  Still cannot access from a workstation( running XP and win2000).  Running 2000i on server and workstations.  Could this be a pervasive problem?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Error 161 is the Pervasive license count.  You need to find your Pervasive license file and apply it.  But more to the point, PSQL 2000 is not supported on 2003 server so you may want to consider upgrading to Pervasive 9.  There are other threads here on that topic.

Where do find these files and how do I apply them.  It's been a while since I've had to deal with dba.  sorry.  We only need the application for a short period since we sold that company.  I hate to buy the upgrade for that.  I did read where some people were not having problems running on server2003.  I hope I can get it functional.  Thanks, Lynn

We have been running Pervasive 2000i on a Windows 2003 Server for more than a year without a problem.

The Pervasive License key came on a Floppy Disk.
