I'm not doing any waiting, but the more audit trail, the better. People seem to suddenly remember everything when their name is next to an entry  Roll Eyes

What auditing do you want? Currently we have PO, SO, Inventory, and GL postings. We may add WO, Bom and Routing one day, but I doubt we will ever do a full system audit.. If it is important to you Pervasive does offer a product called Audit master that saves and logs everything, date time user and every field before and after the change...

It's definitely amazing how that works, isn't it?   Wink

WO auditing would be great, and BOMs too.  We definitely need some better auditing.  Anyone use the Pervasive product and know how well it works, or not?  Is it expensive?

I use it from time to time to help debug issues. If I remember correctly it is expensive and in full out audit mode it eats a bit of CPU time... But it is a FULL out audit.  I believe you can download it for free for a 30 day trial from Pervasive.. Ask Lynn for a quote for pricing..

User Defined Transaction Report, IN-O, Y to Print Audit Info.  I can't remember when it was included, but I would say at least two updates back.

That is the inventory transaction audit that was added quite a long time ago.  The chages to inventory master information were added with the July 2007 update and can be seen by clicking the Clipboard icon in the Evo GUI IN-B or QU-D, Grid ICAUDIT.

I am not sure I have ever had this... see post "7/14 update audit inventory" post 9/27 under ITEMS.  I just checked and the clipboard does not do anything and there is no ICAUDIT grid available.

When I think about it more, I think I got this fixed at some point after the 7/14 update, but it is definitely gone again, since the latest update?

I just tried to run a user-defined inventory transaciton report since I do not seem to have the ICAUDIT grid lookup capability since the last update.
When I get to the RTM screen the display is "4" which of course is not a valid RTM name.  What is the valid RTM for this report?  And why is it not displayed?!?

Any chance I could get the ICAUDIT program?  I definitely do not have it, and it is not in my copy of DBA from before the last update either.

I actually got the RTM to work just by looking for the right one.  Now it comes up with a valid rtm.  Not sure where the "4" came from.

what i really wish for Santa, is to have record level transaction linking. example, recieve the same item on the same po, and reverse it, then re-receive it and repeat as many times as one wants....... those tables do record a unique recnum, for the receipt batch, but what is really, really needed is a record level number associated with the line in in the po reciepts, as well as the invtxn ( inventory transaction record).

for in the invtxn, there is no direct relationship other than the coding of reciepts and date and po number.

sometimes, the data has to be rebuilt or validated, and it would be nice to be able to point to the correct originating record.

thanks Uncle Santa for asking!!
