Negative Numbers Stuck In QC Inspection
01/10/08 at 13:05:39

To Any Whom Can Provide Help,

Whenever we unreceive a purchase order (PO) with "inventory" option in PO-C, a negative quantity gets created in
QC.  The quantity is stuck in the system and we are not able to remove it. We are unreceiving a PO because
we made an error in the normal receiving process and want to have the PO reset back to the full quantity.
Thus, we receive it with a negative quantity instead of a positive one.
Is there a way to unrecieve a PO and avoid having negative quantities get stuck in QC?

Also to add, this seems to be unique to POs for makefrom parts.

Thanks,

Roshan

Are these parts coded in IN-B for "Receive to QC"=Y?  Are you on the latest update?

Lynn,

Thank you so much for the reply! I looked at one example part with the associated problem and, yes, it appears the part has "Receive to QC" set to "N". Should it be set to "Y"?

Also our current version of IS Tech Support Update is 5/1/07.

Thanks,

Roshan

Is there a solution to this issue?  This just happened to Walter.  We are on the latest version.  The part is definitely a make-from part, set to Receive to QC=N in IN-B.  How do we fix this?  Need to know before Nancy gets too excited about her #'s getting messed up.  Wink

Thanks for the response, Lynn.  Since the issue is not showing anywhere except QC in IN-A (including not showing in PO-J-B),  I will edit the BKAPPOL file as you suggested using MDB and remove that neg. quantity.

Any know reason why this would occur?  Is it an issue with the BOM?
