SLLLLOOOOOOOOOW ODBC with Worldship
02/04/08 at 13:42:13

I just tried getting worldship 10 to interface with EvoERP through the WS Keyed Import function. I was able to do it but it's really, REALLY slow. I mean 4-5 minutes before anything happens slow. Has anyone else experienced this? What might I be doing wrong?

We use Worldship 9 with ODBC.  It takes maybe 2-3 minutes (seems like more) to export tracking number, always has (7, 8 too).  Will try 10 when it gets here...should be fun.

Ahh, so it's not just us. I've found that the local pervasive client is really tying up the processor during the wait. I don't know what it's doing. It's extremely annoying and makes the value of UPS integration not very good.

Just installed Worldship 10.  Label printer now prints labels before the export delay rather than after; that helps.  If anything, the delay is shorter, but still a minute or two.

We have this problem too... slow WS & Perv 9.5.

Any thoughts on how to fix it?
