Codebase -70 and other errors
02/12/08 at 08:52:37

I couldn't find any mention of this in the Forum.  For a few weeks now we've been having intermittent errors, some days none, some days dozens, sometimes one machine, sometime another, all different Evo ( and dba) modules.  Most common is  a "Codebase Error # -70 Error # 91102 (or 90621) Reading file [often fileloc. or filedict.]....."  Sometimes you need to re-start EVO, sometimes force a re-boot.
Then we get a few "error message received was not found..."
I've pinged -t and haven't caught any lost or slow packets.

Can anyone suggest where to start looking for a fix?  I have more details if you need them.

Thanks a lot.

Don't know where you should start but error -70 is a General Disk access error Reading file.

If you are getting this on multi machines I would start to suspect either the Server network card, or the Server Hard Disk..

Let me add my two cents.  I have see this before.

Make sure that the user of the PC is an administrator equivelant.  if not you will get errors when Evo trys to write to the ISTS directory.

Or make sure the user has full rights to the ISTS directory.

Hope it helps
