Junk lines in SO-O-A Open Sales Orders by Item
05/20/08 at 08:58:50
There are lines in my Open Sale Orders by Item Number report that show a sales order number of "0" and are all credits in quantity. They show no customer, or customer PO. If I go to SO-A looking for sales order # 0, it is not there.
Which file contains these lines, and how do I get rid of them?

The file is BKARINVL. You could delete them in Maintain Database or, if there are too many, contact me, we have a search and replace/delete utility .

There are 10 lines, all at the bottom of the list because they have invoice numbers greater than our series. How does one delete a line? I can't see a way to do it.
Thanks.

You have to check the edit box in the upper right corner, and then the "+" and "-" sign shows in the bottom left. Go to the line you want to delete and click on the minus sign.

But I have no edit box. The only boxes in the upper right are the three Windows buttons for minimize, etc. (I am using dba classic v 2004.1 with IStech update 5/08/06.) Then I have three windows for files, indexes, and fields. Below that is the list of records in the file.

I just checked in my classic version and you are right, there are no buttons to edit highlighted. I don't know much about classic anymore! Sorry I can't help you.

Actually I just went back to Classic and when I picked a file to look at the plus and minus signs "lit up". Do you have "Maintain database" rights?

OK, now I found the minus sign. Thanks for sticking with me. (I'm a little slow!)
