I have a customer deposit on the books with a zero balance.  If I try to delete the deposit I get a message that says “This deposit has been partially applied (paid) and cannot be deleted.  In order to clear it, either enter an offsetting AR voucher, or refund the remaining deposit amount to the customer.”
 
I cannot enter an offsetting voucher, because the system will not allow the entry of a zero balance voucher.
 
If I try to assign it to another SO number, I get a message that says “The AR Aging record (BKARINVT) indicates that the open amount of this item is 0.  You should delete this deposit from the list, as it has been fully applied.”
 
Is this a catch-22 that I’ll have to live with forever, or is there a way to get this off the books?
