User Defined Pay Amounts do not Calculate
01/08/09 at 08:05:58

When user-defined pay amounts are entered in EVO payroll, the total pay is not calculated as hours x rate. The total is only the rate. Is there a way to get around this?

My system works fine. Does this happen to salary or hourly employees? There might be something in the setup or defaults to cause this? I just tried it both ways. Hourly works as it should. Salary does not use hours, only rate, which makes sense to me.

Hope that helps.

I hadn't thought about the difference between salary/hourly. All of our employees are salaried, but they get bonuses that are calculated on a per job rate. If I put a quantity and rate in the "overtime" or "double time" field, it will calculate, even though the employee is designated as salaried. I would like to be able to use the "user defined" fields for this, because the pay is not really for overtime. Anyway, I appreciate your reply.
