XP 64bit with Pervasive SQL 2000i

Does anyone know if Pervasive SQL 2000i will work with Windows XP 64bit?  We are not in a position to upgrade Pervasive at this time.

I know that it is not supported, but it should install and run as an X86 app under XP 64bit.

We are running Pervasive SQL 2000i with Vista 64bit and that is working fine, if that's any help.
