Notes for purchase orders
10/29/09 at 13:20:05

Since the 9/16/09 updates, I've been trying to add visable notes to my purchase order.  Previously, I just had to click on the notes icon in the bottom of the screen on the line item page and a seperate screen came up.  Type my notes, save them and they printed on the purchase order.  Can someone explain to me how to enter purchase order notes now? undecided

Thanks

If you are usinghte new GUI PO-A program, click onthe Notepad icon on the bottom of the screen and enter you r notes.  if you do not have Evo Notes set to "Y" in SD-A, then you are using "T6.." named RTMs and you need to select Note Type CSN (Classic Synchronized Notes) for visible Notes.

ok - I did not have the "Y" set in SD-A under the notes and I was using the T6POB3.RTM file,   Upon changing  SD-A to "Y", a new RTM came up ENPOB3.RTM. (persuming EN = Evo Notes).  Had a couples of errors - one being my ever famous - internal stack error.  Will try running this tomorrow entering new po's.  Can I modify the ENPOB3.RTM - just font size modifications?  What does GUI mean???

Double Notes are because hte Note Type is "CSN" and you turned Evo Notes on.  If Evo Notes is set to Y then you need to change the Type of Notes to something other than CSN.

"CSN" Notes are Classic Synchronized Notes and they are saved both to the Evo Notes file and the old Classic Notes file.  As a result, once you turn Evo Notes on, it is printing both and you get them twice.   For POs that already exist with the CSN Notes, when the Evo Notes window pops up during printing, set it not to print the CSN Notes and then it will print them once from the Classic file but not a second time fromteh Evo Notes file.

As for the Too Many Pops issue, I got a new PO-A from Allen late Friday that I sent to Val and Mike Nessen; I will send to you as well.
