02/02/10 at 06:40:43

cry I am receiving an access violation when I open sales AR-A access violation at address 0096BD5A in module evoerp.exe write  of address 53414C4B and modules AR-B & AR-c will not open, I have 3 companies setup in EVO I do not have a problem with 2 of the companies it is only happening in one company. I am also having a problem with SO-G I enter information but it will not post. Would reindexing the file work? if so what files should I reindex.

It is definitely data related since it is only one of 3 companies.  Identifying which file is trickier - can you open anything on the AR or SO menu?

Then I suspect the BKARINVT file which is receivables invoices.  Make a backup copy and try reindexing it.

Try BKART.  Also see if you can open those files using Maintain Database and go to the beginning and end of the file without errors or obvious corruption.

BKART has files in it BUT BKARINVT is empty, Ok I replaced the file with a backup that I made before I reindexed this morning and the files are back and I can go into maintain database now and go from beginning to end without a problem, But I still have the same issue as I started with. I reindexed BKART did not help.

For future reference, the problem turned out to be a Pervasive extension file of the MKECLASS.B01 file that was created when the server ran low on disk space.  The Pervasive extension files have an extension of .^01 rather than the original .BXX extension and are also the type of files that get created when an individual file exceeds 2 GB.  In this case, once space on the server was freed up, restoring a backup of MKECLASS.B01 and deleting the MKECLASS.^01 resolved the problem.
