I had entered a check to be printed manually. The pop up box after "do you want to select a different bank account" was on the screen when the computer froze.  The invoice is not in the lookup screen for the vendor, but when I enter the number, it says that the number already exists.  The check is not in the check register either.  I know that I can get around the invoice number by entering the number differently, but is this ghost of an invoice going to pop up and haunt me if I don't figure out where it went?
 
Is there a utility program that can be run periodically that will "clean up cobwebs" that you may not really know are hanging there and just make the system run more smoothly?
