PO-A
06/23/10 at 08:10:03

It was just reported to me that PO-A is occasionally receiving this error:

An internal stack error has occurred.  Please close and restart the application to avoid further errors. Error Code:  too many pops.

Which version of PO-A and what update?  From the message, I suspect the new GUI version but what is the "IS Tech Enhancement date in the banner?

Yes, new menus for the users.  Kinda happened when I updated all users to the new menu by accident -- to the chagrin of some, but they're dealing right now, but this sort of stuff isn't helping the situation.

Date says 9/30/09

Just had this reported to me as well.

"sometimes when I am entering a new po, the vendor id will not identify the vendor – then I escape the area and then go back in, and then it does see the vendor"

Well what does that mean?!  Is there a patch for just that module or are we to update to the latest update???  Both?!?

We had major GL issues after the last time we updated so we're gun shy right now for any updating. I'll have to wait til Monday when I'm sure everyone is set and all postings and such have been done.

It does mean updating. Your caution is a good thing. We always wait for bugs to shake out before updating. Patches we do right away, but you have to be on current update to benefit from patches.

Just updated the entire system to the latest.

We were having system wide sporadic issues ever since I updated everyone to the new menus.  I'm hoping that updating all of the underlying files that all of these error messages and lockups are taken care of... it wasn't pretty here on Friday.  Trust me, NO one was seeing the 'benefit' of the new menu system when they couldn't stay in the system long enough to get any work done.

Grrr, nope, still getting the 'too many pops' error when attempting to Print from PO-A.  If the attempt is made again, it sometimes works and sometimes it creates a duplicate PO with a zero dollar amount.

PO-B doesn't seem to be an issue, but it's a nuisance in the work-flow of the staff using the system.

Chris, to keep a little sanity, you might want to try the running the T6POA.RUN version until you can figure out what is going on with the newer T7POA.RWN.  Try going into Sys-Mgr-UT-A and type in and run T6POA.RUN.  Put it through it's paces to make sure it is working OK.  If OK, you can update all users with this version by going into Sys-Mgr-TAS-G, select "Change Menu Name".  However, the T7POA is the newer version and you still want to try and figure out why not working.  So you need to play with to see if you can help IS Tech Support determine what the problem is and when resolved, change back.  At least this keeps people productive in the meantime.
