Since not all notes you want to keep handy are related to specific customers or vendors, I would like to suggest a "General Notes" section, placed, perhaps, in the Tools or Help menus. It would be very useful for saving reminders on things like how to do tasks that only are necessary infrequently, what you named a modified report, etc. It could be formatted like a customer or vendor note, which would create an easy way to scroll through to find what you need.
