Printing to PDF
05/05/11 at 11:58:41

When printing and Invoice to pdf. Evo is saving the file as   "...\PSOF20110505125358.PDF"
it is using the current date and time, I believe.

Why is not saving using the invoice number?

If you email, it does use the document number (invoice, PO, etc.).  If you manually print to a file, it expects you to assign a file name and if you do not, it uses a date/time reference.

Hi Lynn,

It does not ask you for a file name, just a location. It automatically saves the pdf and uses date and time.
It would be good if it uses the document number (wo,so,po, etc, etc)

You can include the file name in the Location.

Thanks Lynn,

I think the document number (Inv, WO, PO, etc, etc) is better than date and time
It would be great if you guys change it on the next update.

Unfortunately, the print dialog box is a generic interface and for reports there is no document number.  But I will ask programming what they can do.

Is there any plan yet to offer a "save as" option for the pdf files so that they can be named?

They CAN be named. After browsing to or manually typing the path, make sure you have a "\" at the end of the path and type whatever you want for the name.

Not for us with T7SOF with banner date of 2/17/12 (SP1 version).

But anyways that has a different major problem so we're not using it - it always prints both Invoice and Ship Dates as TODAY when you do an Invoice Reprint, regardless of the actual posted Invoice Date.

You must be doing something different than us then. Because we reprint an invoice that was posted on 03/31/12 and the reprint has with the same date.
(both: T7SOF and BKSOF)

BKSOF works fine.

T7SOF dated 2/17/12 give us TODAY, while the one from the last full update (Dec?) puts in 00/00/00...

It will be interesting to find out what is different about our system or procedures.

This is not the first time that I hear:  "it works for you" but "it does not work for me"
It is like every body is using a different "EVO/DBA"
