Editing Shipping Schedule Report - DBA Classic
06/08/12 at 11:14:50
Greetings,
My company has been using DBA Classic for a number of years but noone seems to have ever altered or edited anything within the program.
For the last several years my direct boss has been printing a shipping schedule report every week and than handwriting in specific info that can't be entered in the current DBA sales order form. I have now taken over this task and really would like to not have to enter all this info every week.
I would like to add more entrys to our current sale order form and than have the shipping schedule report print those additional entrys.
I can't seem to find the .RTM file in the modify forms section that corresponds to this.
Nice to find a forum where people are dealing with program, looking forward to any response since I am at the start of what seems to be a very steep learning curve.
Thanks.

The DBA Classic reports can not be edited to add fields even if there were an RTM and the Shipping Schedule in DBA is a text report (no RTM). That is one of the benefits of upgrading to Evo-ERP. More of the reports are RTM (eventually they all will be) and in Evo, you can add data fields to the RTMs using the RTM Editor.

It is a new program written in Java that allows you to view the operations assigned to a Work Center and drag them forwards and backwards to reschedule them. It works on a copy of the Work Order Routing file and then when you are done and happy with the results you can commit the changes to the real file. If you push an operation out into the future, the subsequent operations on the same work order are pushed out as well.
If you have never used any of the scheduling programs, you should run either SH-P or SH-E before running this tool so that your operation start and finish dates are at least in real time and not in the past.

Do the files WORKSORD and WOSROUT exist in your company folder? The update should have created them. They are schema copies of WORKORD and WOROUT that the scheduler uses as temporary scratch files until you are ready to commit the changes.

It does work and it is a visual interface, If you move a work order seq it does update the WO dates!!!
Will it show when a Work Center has reach its capacity??
