Merge item numbers

i saw an earlier topic on this and wasn't clear.   If we have a part # that the only change is that the customer is adding letters to the existing number, can we merge all the data to the new number?   Is this time consuming?

As in many questions posted here, it depends...

If you are using your customer part number as the Evo/DBA part number then you have to run SM-J-L which can take some time.  If you have your own internal part number that translates to a customer part number entered in IN-L-C then you simply need to edit the number in IN-L-C.

My question is similar, but not the same. We have two part numbers that we want to merge, is this possible in DBA? Both parts have history that we want to keep
Thx
Juan

SM-J-L can merge parts.  You will end up with a single part that has the combined history of both original parts.
