AP-M Labels, date changes (Read 1970 times)

AP-M Labels, date changes

I need to make vendor labels for 2014. I'm in AP-M and need to change the form BKAPM3.RTM  to say 2014 on the label.  Also, is there a way to delete old vendors so I don't get an excessive amount of labels I don't need?

You can add text to the RTM in DBA Classic so you could add "2014".  As for the printing excessive number of labels, the IS Tech Support version has an option in AP-A to designate whether or not a vendor gets file labels and AP-M has an option for file versus mailing labels.

I'm in engineering and sales so I have a question.
 
Why not scan stuff into computer files.
instead of filing pieces of paper ?
 
then you dont have to worry about an extra label
and you dont have to look for stuff if you need it.

The answer I usually get to that question - "We have always done it this way and Joe (whoever the boss is) wants to hold the piece of paper"...

Since JOE will only ever really need 1 of 1000 of those pieces of paper.
 
The rest will just sit there, waiting to be refiled at the end of the year.
 
I try to be as paperless as I can.

I hear ya John, and I agree but we still have users out there with the dot matrix printers and 5 part forms...

We use 2 kinds of paper.
 
8.5 x 11 laser and 36 wide rolls for the plotter.
 
Maybe I'm missing out but I don't miss 5 part forms and dot matrix printers at all.
