Has anyone been successful connecting to a Pervasive Database on a guest Virtual Machine?
 
The network type is NAT and I have forward the 1583 port

I would be inclined to use a Bridged network connecton on the guest so that the
virtual guest just looks like any other box on your network.
 
I made a virtualized clone of our NT 4.0 server in Vbox for testing.  
I have since been sidetracked and haven't gotten to the point of connecting
to it with a workstation yet.
 
Ultimately, I want to update our server hardware without a bunch of software/time/expense of updating everything.
