Post upgrade installation version disparity
02/10/15 at 11:54:34

We've recently been updated to 2015.1. The two logins that are full Evo show "Version 2014.1" at the bottom left of the regular work screen, but "Version 2015.1" in the Help-About box. My login shows us having "53 updates available" on the bottom right of the regular work screen, and the other shows 63. Is there something we must do?
Thanks for your help,
Ann

SM-V on the ADMIN menu is where patches can be downloaded.

Did this disparity ever resolve?  We updated over the weekend and have the same disparity.  We also run primarily 64 bit machines and the EvoPatch.exe isn't compatible.

I'm hoping for an easy fix.

Are they XP or Windows 7 machines?  I think there is an issue with 64 bit XP but 7 should be OK.  You only need to be able to load the patch program on one station.  You can disable it on others in Settings - US-A to eliminate the annoying message.

These are all 64 bit Windows 7 machines.  I even tried from a 32 bit Windows 7 and have the same error.

Just updated to 2015.1 on an XP VM (Server 2k3R2 was failing during update), and EvoPatchLauncher.exe fails to start. What are the runtime requirements for this application? .NET? Java? Can't find system requirements, or I didn't look too hard. Smiley

Not sure about environment variables, but the EvoPatchLauncher.exe worked for me this morning on my 64 bit Windows 7 machine.  There were 133 patches to install.  Today, everything looks to be in-sync and working as it should.

Thanks to everyone working behind the scenes.

Fixed it, I had to install .NET 4 for Windows XP, the VM didn't have it installed.

...but now that it EvoPatch displays the 133 patches how do you actually download and apply the patches? There's no link to actually download the updates, just check for patches.

Tried that the list of updates appears, and the "Check for Patches" button, but there's no apparent way to apply the updates. (Seems like a button is missing) Maybe it has something to do with XP+IE8?

I've tried to download 4 updates, clicked on Check for patches, watching my connections out from evopatch.exe to the IP address, not much is happening. Where are the files supposed to be downloaded to on the system?  I don't see anything downloaded.

You need to use SM-V to actually download them.  Clicking on the IS Tech Support icon in the upper right (which all users have access to) only presents a list of what is available.

Sorry for the delayed response!  I am using SM-V, I am also logged in as the Admin user.  Does not seem do to anything, nor can I verify if it did because I cannot determine where the files get downloaded to so they can be installed....there's no documentation on this at all that I can find.
