Reusing an unposted check number (Read 1080 times)

Reusing an unposted check number

I am using both DBA Classic and EVO.  Can I reuse a check number if the transaction has not been posted?  I'm think that I can void out the check and then go into "Edit General Ledger Batches" and then delete the appropriate 4 entries.  Will this work?  If not, what can I do?

The program will allow you to reuse a check number.  
 
If you void a check it will make reversing GL entries so you do not want to delete the original ones.
