We have 4 departments so we have item classes for sales.
We have scores of item classes for things we buy such as raw material, plant supplies, expendable tools, outservices etc.  And then we have to have that item class multiplied by all 4 departments.
1) How many item classes do most businesses have?  
 
2) Is there a summary report that shows all the item classes, even if they have never been used and/or don't have GL accounts linked?  If I create a class without linking it to a GL account it does not show up in CLASS or CLASSMSTR.    Where in the database would i find the item class that never got a GL account linked to it   I want to make sure i dont have an item class without a GL  (may have missed ITEM CLASS GL

We around 80 class.  About half of them our for inventory the other half for non-inventory.  Over the years, a few have become obsolete.
