ROHS Field
02/13/20 at 11:21:12
Hi - We're using a very old version of DBA Classic 2004.1 IS update 5/8/06, I was asked to create a report listing items and the associated ROHS (Y/N) field. I understand that the ROHS flag is in DPTNT position "4", but what I am seeing on some items is a "blank" in the extracted data AND when viewing in maintain database but a Y when viewing the part in IN-A and IN-B.
How can IN-A show an entry when there is no entry in the database?
Is this an indexing issue?
Thanks
Keith

Kieth, what program are you using to extract the specific data?

Hey Dennis - Thanks for the reply, using old crystal reports 8.5, the thing is that it seems crystal is pulling the correct database info (Y/N or blank in crystal report and "maintain database" BKICMSTR - DPTNT) but if I look at the ROHS field in IN-A/IN-B it will show an entry? Really weird....
Where else could IN-A/B be pulling this from?

If using crystal, you need to create a substr field, something like "SUBSTR(BKIC_PROD_DPTNT,4,1)". You only want to read position 4 of the field DPTNT.
