I have to say that I'm a little concerned that with a "lifetime" license that still has to be updated every year that some day I may not be able to update it. I can see that since the current registration method uses an expiration date and that the licensing module only accepts 2-digit years that it would be difficult to provide a true "lifetime" license.

I'd be a little more comfortable if I knew that no matter what happens to DBA that I'll be able to continue using it as long as I want. Does anyone else have this concern? Or is the registration easily enough hacked that any decent programmer could figure it out?

The progrmmer that wrote TAS writes in assembler language! Yeah, 010111001. He is pretty much a mad genius. So hacking his stuff is REALLY bloody difficult.

I heard once that they were going to do this. Perhaps if enough people request it it will happen.

Some how I think that they should be able to, if nothing else, issue you 10 years worth of license keys at one time.

This strikes me as a "I don't know how to do it, so the customer must be inconvenienced" issue.

There is a creative solution to this somewhere looking for someone willing to look outside the box.
