P.O. Notes
07/24/03 at 15:12:44

We are unable to modify a P.O. Note once we save it.   When we go in to modify the note, if we hit save notes, we are thrown out of the P.O. module completely.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Any solutions?

2002.4 EVO-7/4/03 ISTECH update.  (This was happening prior to the 7/4 update.

Also, discovered we can change P.O. notes in regular DBA but when in EVO, we have the problem

Karen -

I just emailed you a version of PO-A compiled in TAS 6 and it appears to fix the problem.  Check it out, it still needs to have some of the screens cleaned up but if it works for you, we will get it cleaned up and released.

Thanks Lynn, this seems to work.  However, I am sure I used P.O. notes from EVO in the past with no problem(could have been regular DBA-but I don't think so) Perhaps programmers can look at the last few changes and locate & eliminate the problem that way.

PO-A is pushing the limits of the TAS 5 compiler so it is really a memory management issue when the program is compiled.  I tried both the ISTS version and the DBA standard version on my Evo and had the same problem but the programmer tried it on his and did not so it is not as simple as a command line in the code.

Lynn,
Had to go back to the old bkpoa.run file. (Thanks for advising me to save it).  The new one let us alter notes but eliminated the ability to copy purchase orders in either DBA or EVO.  Since many of our PO's are extensive, I had to choose the lesser of two evils.

You could name the one I sent you PONOTE.RUN or something and when you do need to edit notes, run it at UT-A.   Working on a clean new one that can copy PO and fixes the Notes problem.
