What this "ask" (dialogue) box controls is where the reports get their data. If you say yes to archive then the data comes from the "H" schema tables such as WORKHORD rather than the live tables such as WORKORD. If you are not archiving WO's then there will be nothing in the "H" schema tables. But if your Crystal reports are just pointed at the WORKORD table then this dialogue really has no effect whatsoever. The only effect would possibly be if you have a parameter on the report that is looking at a date index and it cannot find data to fit that requirment.

Hope you are checking this thread even though it's dated.
We've had the same issue, went through the same steps, but still have a few of these really great Crystal reports we've tried everything to get to run since we've updated, to no avail.  Have you found any way around that data buffer error?
