TAS-G Group Buttons
03/03/06 at 14:50:00

I am re-doing our TAS-G menu settings for each user since some people do not have access to the proper things and others have way too much access.

I need some help because when my boss initially set up TAS-G he deleted some of the group buttons for some people's access codes. How do I get these group buttons back? If I copy the default I get them all back however it will not let me use access code since its already in use.

Should I wait till everyone has logged off at the end of the day and delete their access codes and start over again by copying the default to each person and going from there?

My boss and I dont know much about this area of DBA and I dont want to mess anything up. Any suggestions how I should go about doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks  Grin

On any menu items you can add or delete buttons. When you are at the last item on the list, arrow down and it will add a new field. Follow the format of the other ones. You can name any button whatever you wish. You will need to know what program to call also. Their is a list of all the programs somewhere on this site.
With some trial and error you can get it done.

So I dont get this. I want to give my purchasing agent the SO-O-E (Print Shipping Schedule) so that he can print out future orders to match against his PO's since we are not using the MRP system. He didnt previously have access to any part of the sales module. So I down arrowed to add the "Sales" group button, then added the "SO" menu button. Then clicked on the menu lines tab and added t6soa.run and bksooe.run

I must be missing a step, what am I doing wrong? Or do I need to just start with a clean slate? If so, can I take the rest of the options in SO away and still have SO-O-E work?

Do you even see the button description that you labeled? Did you put a 0,1 or 2 in the first box? This puts the button either on the SO line as a 1 or a sub button as a 2.  It is a little awkward to understand at first. If you see the label but the program doesn't work, go back to the line and instead of typing in the file name do a lookup and select it.
