Are you selecting "Alternates" from the initial list?

I can confirm, but I think I found the secret.

IN-A  F2key, select Alternates, select Vendor# or Mfgr and initially the first column appears to be all Blank, but I think there are alot of item numbers without reference to Vendor# or Mfgr.

But if you start typing, I typed the letter A, you will see entries in the first column.

I think Im using the new t6 Lookup

I used it all day and I dont like it at all. 1st No vendor PN lookup and when I hit F2 in the old one I could start looking at the part number in the part number field

now I have to copy and paste if I want to start looking from the item Im on.

If I could figure out how to change it back I would.

John,

The latest post has new lookups, and lastweek I added the Alternates. Ask Lynn for a copy of the latest. The newer stuff has a lot of changes and fixes to the lookups like being able to type in partial and then press F2, drill down and return the correct value, and add your own filters.

We just switched from DBA to EVO & I get that same spreadsheet so I thought that that is just the difference in DBA & EVO - If you find out how to sort by vend#, etc, please pass along.  We enter our customer's p/n in the user defined field.  I usually open up DBA when I need to sort by that field.  Not very efficient but it works. Sad

In the 05/08/06 Evo release the new lookups (grids) have

Sorts (change index) that is the Sort by box at the top right of the screen(this was also in the 02/28/06 release).

Filters that you can add ie show me all parts that have a uoh <= 10 and have company X as primary vendor. etc..

 Alternates for Inventory lookups.

Printing the results of a grid to screen, printer, email or file.

 Drill Downs.

Totals. You use SU-A to set up the fields you wish to total and when the totals button is pressed it will display the totals of the current grid and the bottom on the screen for those fields. (Most grids were already preset by us)

 Image Links (or document links)

SU-A and SU-B are the Key programs to customizing the grids to what you want. Please read the help on these programs.
