Changing Printers
10/18/06 at 10:09:56

We are running Evo (August update).

On one of the workstations we change printers.
The old printer has been delete, still when you try to print something it shows the old printer.

how do you change printers?

Regards,

Is this occurring for all programs that use the print dialog box or just a selected few programs?

The printer in the print dialog box pulls either the system default printer or the printer saved in the "Saved Settings" cfg file for each program.

First check the default printer for the workstation.  If that is ok then check to see if there are files in the format p---.cfg (e.g. pWOC.cfg, pPOB.cfg) in either c:\ists or the company folder.  Delete them if they are there.

If both fail, select a new printer and save the settings....

We have the same problem. There are no p*.cfg files in either C:\ISTS or the Company folder.

The default printer listed is one that has been long gone. It's not physically there and there are no references to it in Windows. It's not a problem, because it prints to the system Default printer. But there is no apparent way to change it. If you select "Setup" next to the listed printer you can choose another printer, but as soon as you say OK it prints - it never takes you back to the DBA dialog so that you can save it as new settings.

Are your Print Options set to Printer or Preview (or other) when you click on SETUP?

Ok, I fixed the bug so that you can easily save the printer.
