IN-L-E in Windows 7
10/24/11 at 12:57:49

I have one Windows 7 Pro PC with EVO, and everything works as it should except IN-L-E.  As the program runs it displays the Item Numbers as they are processed.  It starts out running very fast, and then it starts slowing down, and down, untill it almost acts as if it is stopped.  Actually it is taking a full minute plus to process one Item Number.  This program runs all the way through very fast when using the DBA Classic version.  Has anyone else experienced this, or have a suggestion to eliminate this problem.

For all of these longer reports I RDP to the PSQL server and run them locally. They run much faster that way and don't tie up the local machine. The reason for this is that DBA/Evo iterate through the reports as individual transactions rather than as a query to the database. Therefore, each transaction has the latency of the round trip through your network, plus the latency of the local machine, plus local antivirus (as well as any on the network) and is subject to being throttled by software or switches. All of that overhead is removed when the reports are running locally.

I should have mentioned that the IN-L-E runs fine on a PC running XP.  Just not so on the Windows 7 PC.
I am not able to RDP to the Novell Server, or I am not sure how to run DBA on this server, unlike a Windows 2003 Server.
