Screen displays
04/11/03 at 11:04:09

Screens don't display well for me in TAS6Evo.  I use 640x480 on a 1280x960 monitor.  On the TAS6 screens, line spacing is larger, making the screen about 1/3 taller.  The field display font is tiny and hard to read, but the field display is wider, overlapping labels in some cases.

Has anyone found settings to clean this up?

Go to System Manager - TAS 6 - C - Set Configuration and click the User Options tab, check the setting for RUN form display size.

Sure, I tried that.  The 640x480 screen is a good size; the larger sizes wouldn't allow multiple windows, and I'd have to move a few feet away from the monitor.

640x480 is OK with old DBA, but the fields overlap the labels in Evo (try IN-A).  Vertical line spacing is too large, and wastes space.  I was able to get bigger fonts for just the fields; that helped a bit.

Somewhat related but different,

I run a dual monitor system. The windows the pop up at the various locations (not DBA windows but control/system messages) insist on centering in the middle of the desktop, effectively splitting the message across two monitors.
Not a major problem, but.......

Try cutting down the "Row Pixels" to 13 or 14. Also, for most screens you could probably reduce "Video Rows" to 28 or 27.
